Inclusive Syllabus Workshop

Are you updating a syllabus for Spring 2020? Have you considered ways to make it more inclusive? You might revise the general tone of your syllabus to be more positive, respectful, and inviting. Since the syllabus is often the first point of contact with new students, it offers you an important opportunity to set the tone of your course by directly addressing your students as competent, engaged learners.

We invite you to a drop-in workshop to talk with some faculty who collaborated last summer to create some inclusive syllabus suggestions. Please come by to share your ideas. You can bring an existing syllabus with you or use one of the computer stations available to discuss your updates for Spring 2020.

We hope you will join us to discuss how we can best help our students feel more welcomed and comfortable in our classes. Drinks and snacks will also be provided.
