The UA Online Learning Innovation Summit (OLIS) is a cross-campus professional development unconference focused on innovation in online learning, to be held on February 1, 2019. OLIS participants will share experience and best practice surrounding online learning and teaching technologies, in order to improve student outcomes. Innovation in online teaching will be recognized and honored at this key university-wide event. OLIS 2019 will feature a keynote address by Air University, which is using virtual reality and other simulation technologies to teach technical skills as well as team building and human resources management.
This two-and-a-half-day event presents the newest thinking on improving teaching and learning. Meet and network with like-minded colleagues, and learn from innovators whose presentations showcase the proven methods and approaches that they’ve used with their students.
Digital Pedagogy Lab is a five-day summer institute that explores the role and application of digital technology in teaching. The 2018 institute will have four tracks, offering intensive peer-driven learning with and discussion of networked learning, new media, and critical digital pedagogy.

The Digital Media and Learning Conference is an annual event supported by the MacArthur Foundation and organized by the Digital Media and Learning Research Hub located at the UC Humanities Research Institute, University of California, Irvine. The conference is meant to be an inclusive, international and annual gathering of scholars and practitioners in the field, focused on fostering interdisciplinary and participatory dialog and linking theory, empirical study, policy, and practice.
