A new semester is always around the corner. You may be requesting library instruction and thinking about how the session(s) will support your students’ research, but sometimes students need a little extra help. Have you seen the University Libraries’ Roll Tide Research learning modules?
Roll Tide Research is a series of interactive tutorials and other multimedia resources focusing on concepts and skills essential to academic research. The tutorials can be completed in any order. Roll Tide Research is discipline-neutral, so it cannot replace library instruction (which typically takes into account the disciplinary needs and goals of your course objectives), but it can help to reinforce some of the more technical aspects of searching which students.
Roll Tide Research has four modules:
- Module 1: Research Basics
- Module 2: Beginning Your Research
- Module 3: Finding Resources
- Module 4: Using Information Ethically
You can link these modules to your Blackboard Course Page, and then let your librarian know that you are interested in finding ways to integrate the modules into your instruction plan for the semester.
