The 2018 Institute will be held at The University of Alabama at Birmingham on May 10 and 11, 2018. This year’s theme is Using Technology to Collaborate through Leadership, Teaching, Research and Scholarship.

The Scholars Institute fosters a shared community of knowledge among members of the three UA System campuses. It brings us together to discover and discuss technology best practices in our teaching, research, and service. We expect more than 200 faculty, instructors, and staff member attendees and, again this year, each campus may have up to 10 graduate student attendees/presenters. Colleagues from other area institutions, including K12 schools, often attend as well. Participation by a variety of disciplines, multi-campus representation, and a strong cross-section of faculty and staff members make the Scholars Institute more effective for everyone.
